Dance Instructors

Ballet Hip Hop Teacher

Miss Holly Reilly
Holly has studied dance for over 25 years.  She holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in vocal music, and a double minor in dance and theatre from Millikin University.   She has been very active in the performing arts her entire life, has participated in many musicals and dance concerts, and has worked at Valley Fair Amusement Park as a singer and dancer.  Recently, Holly has performed for the Without Shoes Modern Dance Company of Rockford, and was the choreographer for Christian Youth Theatre's (CYT) production of Annie.  She has enjoyed teaching dance in the Rockford public schools, Harlem schools and Rockford-area dance studios from 2001-2004.  Holly will be choreographer for CYT’s Fall 2009 production of Godspell.  "Let them praise His name with dancing!" Psalm 149:3"

 

Hip Hop Teacher


Mr. Andrew Mahan
Andrew has studied dance and tumbling in Rockford for 15 years.  This is his 2nd year teaching Musical Theatre Dance, Boys Dance Technique, and Contemporary Ballet at STG.   Andrew has choreographed for Christian Youth Theatre (CYT) in Rockford for 3 years, and is in his 2nd year as CYT Project Dance Performance Team coach.  He also specializes in Ballroom Dance, and is excited to offer the first Ballroom Dance class at STG!

 

 

Hip Hop Teacher

Miss Deanna Sanchez
Deanna is in her 4th year as Hip Hop teacher for STG. She holds her Bachelors degree from Northern Illinois University.  Recently, Deanna earned her Personal Training certification and is very involved in promoting health and wellness.  She is the new owner of Steps 2 Fitness!

Miss Julienne Jackson
Julienne holds a MFA in Art from Northern Illinois University.   Julienne studied dance at the University of Arizona, under the direction of Jory Hancock and Melissa Lowe, formally from the New York City Ballet.   She will be teaching ballet at STG this year.  Julienne has taught Interpretive Worship at local churches over the last 8 years and has had her groups dance for the National Day of Prayer in Rockford.  Julienne gives all her arts to her Lord, Jesus Christ, and teaches her students to do the same!
