Pre-school and Children's Program

STG's Children's Program is the perfect opportunity for the early elementary school-age dancer to grow in confidence as they learn dance techniques. We focus on fun, friends, and the basics at this age. Dancers have on stage performances in the Christmas Recital in December and the annual Spring Recital in June.

Leveled Program

Our Graded Level Technique students build foundations in movement, vocabulary, technique, and choreography. Additionally, students in all levels are eligible and encouraged to try styles such as Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Hip Hop. All students in our Graded Technique Program participate in annual skills testing and optional parent-teacher conferences, as well as all recitals. Dancers must

have taken beginning ballet to move to

leveled ballet classes.

Adult Classes

Adult classes are open to adults with and without dance experience. Adult offerings are on a 10 class punch card system.

You can use your punches in either

ballet, tap, or jazz, anytime.

Punch cards expire after 90 days.

Steps to Grace Performance Company dancers serve as ambassadors for our studio through community events, performances, conferences, and more. Audition only. Please email alise.stepstograce@gmail.com if you would like to audition for our performance companies. Company dancers are required to co-enroll in a ballet AND Relative Motion Technique Class. Company time commitment and financial information will be emailed to all current team families, as well as all interested families.

Miss Alise & Miss Sarah are certified in an incredible strength training and technique program that brings a high level of excellence to our dancers. Relative Motion uses specialized apparel with different colored panels that are designed to help dancers visually see which muscles to activate in order to improve technique (and prevent injuries). All performance team members are required to enroll in the Relative Motion class, and there is a one-time fee for the class uniform (that can be re-used year after year). We are so excited to bring this program to Steps to Grace to help our dancers excel in their God-given talents, and to help them prevent dance-related injuries. All dancers are encouraged to take this unique class if they wish to excel in their dance technique. This is also a great class for ice skaters and gymnasts!

Giving extra special kids a Chance to Dance! Steps to Grace is proud to offer the program called Darby’s Dancers. Darby’s Dancers is a 501(c)(3) organization founded by the parents of Darby Jones of Huntsville, Alabama. Darby’s Dancers provides an opportunity for children with special needs to participate in the performing arts through dance education.

At once-a-week classes at STG, Darby’s Dancers learn all types of dance in a fun, encouraging atmosphere. Dancers in the program gain confidence, coordination, strength and lifelong friends, all while feeling like a star. DD also provides volunteer opportunities for teens who dance at STG. Our youth volunteers learn important lessons in responsibility and friendship by providing one-on-one assistance to a special needs dancer.

DD classes are taught by volunteer dance instructors and take place in donated studio space. The charitable contributions of youth volunteers, dance instructors, community dance studios and local businesses allow DD to provide dance classes, supplies and costumes to special needs dancers at little to no cost to their parents.
