At STG, our performance companies are non-competitive. We are all about performing for our community, and growing as dancers and teammates!  We know this is an extra commitment for your dancer, but they will gain knowledge in both dance skills and life skills. The Company dancers represent STG in the community, and we are proud of each one of them. By participating in several events throughout the year, and they grow from the inside and out!

Shine, Illuminate and Radiate students are required to be enrolled in at least one ballet technique class to be eligible to dance with our Performance Company.  Ballet is the foundation of all styles of dance, and we hope to instill a love for the discipline of ballet as well!  

 

Company students will learn a variety of styles including ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern and hip hop from

different instructors throughout the year.

Shine has rehearsals one hour per week, and Illuminate and Radiate are both set to have rehearsals for 4 hours per week. They will work with a variety of instructors in different styles of dance, and learn several fun & challenging pieces of choreography. Performance options for our company dancers vary from year to year, and we are still working on securing venues, etc. for our dance season. We will give parents and students plenty of notice before any plans are made. In the meantime, we will get creative with our dancers, and focus on advanced techniques and choreography, as well as growth as a young positive leader, dancer, and teammate.

DANCE REVOLUTION-

STG performance company dancers have been attending the Dance Revolution Christian dance conference in Wheeling, IL for over 15 years, and we are excited to once again take our team members and instructors to this event. It will be held January 27-29, 2023, and all Shine, Illuminate, and Radiate dancers will be asked to attend. There is an extra cost associated with this weekend, and more details will be sent home during auditions. We will have a new payment option available for our families this year, and we hope it allows more dancers to participate in DR with us. Keep an eye out for more information in the coming weeks.

WALT DISNEY WORLD-

STG will be participating in one of the performance events Disney offers dance studios. More information will be available soon, but we are aiming for a fall 2023 trip. It will not be a required event, and we are going to open it up to more than just our performance company students.
